OH CANADA!

Ahh we made it! After a long day of traveling we arrived at the Downtown Hilton in the heart of Toronto.  It was so late last night that I had to order room service for dinner! Obviously there wasn’t a lot of awesome choices so I settled on soup and cheated with a delicious looking roll! (I was starving and will prob regret the processed flour later today). Anyhow, the good news is that we have Internet comped for the whole stay! Wahoo! Since my phone is off my computer will be the only communication I have with the States.  Skype is my new best friend and thank goodness for it! I’m so thankful for modern technology and the ability to see my Husband who is all the way back in Vegas!  Skpe will make the two weeks apart a little bit easier:)

I woke up early this morning to scout out the area.  I walked a couple of blocks to Firts Canadian Place and found literally EVERYTHING I will need.  There was 3 food courts, large produce filled market, tons of small eats and shops!  It is a huge building with everything in it! Banks, department stores, food, electronics… you name it!  I was so glad to find a Juice stand and get my self a green smoothie for the day. It had spinach, celery, carrot, parsley, bananas, and strawberries!  I couldnt resist stopping at the small Natural foods store. Everyone and I mean everyone, that was passing by kept grabbing these scones that were coming out of the oven freshly baked.  I was in the way trying to see what they were made of.  The lady behind the counter said they were made with Kamut flower…I had never heard of that before.  She begged me to have one so I decided to go with the Apple Cinnamon Kamut Scone.  It was large but so tasty! I want to do some more research and see what I can find out about Kamut.  The cute store was filled with all things health and that made me very happy.  I was so stressed about what I was going to eat here with out a fridge! phew!

Well today is our first day at the Theatre and our opening night! Hopefully all goes well with rehearsal and we have a great show.  I’ll keep you posted!
