scary title right?
well, it’s summer and i need to rejuvenate my fitness routine bought me some dumbbells and i already have a bunch of other equipment so im ready to take on a new workout challenge. i have started to run outside regularly as well as do my own HIIT and strength training. the summer is a good time to get outdoors and workout! ive seen boot camps done at parks with minimal equipment and participated in some of my own. so i am taking a break from the gym! hopefully by saving a few bucks i can get into some more yoga classes and try new workout techniques. i will miss my spin class tho! boo! maybe i just need to buy a bike?? i was lifting heavy weights for a while, especially during livefit, and i found that i build muscle fast, and pretty easy. i want a more toned physique so i’ve made a goal to do more HIIT and get ready for tough mudder!
i am not a certified personal trainer, (yet) but i will be posting my workouts for any of you that want to join in! i am going to take advantage of my exercise ball, pull up bar, dumbbells, get creative with paper plates (for sliding under my feet), and my jump rope! maybe attempt some ZWOW’S too!
cheers to something new! whose with me??
xoxo

July 9, 2012 at 9:12 pmMe! I quit the gym to try Crossfit and don’t want to go back. Also, I’m giving up marathon training for the summer to focus on it. The change is refreshsing!

July 10, 2012 at 12:03 amGood for you, taking the plunge! I think it’s great to be able to work out on your own, not relying on gyms or classes. Sounds like you’ve already got a bunch of equipment and workouts in mind. For working out at home, I love using online videos and various DVDs, and definitely running outdoors, even though it’s tough in the heat. I’ll be following along; sure you’ll be loaded with great ideas.
Good luck!
