spoonful of goals! let’s fall into october

hello october!

how i love you with all your sweaters, pumpkin delights, and boot weather!  i LOVE fall with all the changing leaves, cooler weather, and the beginning of the holidays!  halloween is one of my favorite holidays and i think it is a blast to dress up silly and enjoy it!  now, i don’t want to get too far ahead of myself so let me catch you up a bit!

last week was busy as usual and saturday turned out to be a long day of teaching (8:30 am-4pm ) and my darling hubby showed with with lunch and some packages.  kinda random to recieve packages with lunch, but i wasn’t going to say no to something with my name on it!  to my suprise, it was brand new shoes! a pair of shoes i have been coveting for sometime! he totally came through for me! and the fun didn’t end there, after rehearsals finished we headed up to park city to see Thriller and have a weekend getaway! it was just what we needed.  a night away with no care in the world did us wonders! so thank you sweetheart!

such a fabulous staycation! we did miss our little baby but he was safe and sound with his auntie!

now for the good stuff! it’s been awhile since i’ve set some goals and i feel like my priorities have really slacked and its time to crack the whip again! so…

1. eat clean (a veggie filled meal a day)

lately i have totally slacked at being awesome with my clean eats! ugh! sometimes it’s a little hard but i have no excuses! no more hot tamale handfuls for this lady! i do pretty well, but i def have room for improvement, especially with all the halloween goodies!  here are a few i am dying to make…

squashed beans from edible perspective

butternut squash and black bean chili

broccoli rabe “spaghetti” tomatoes and chicken

2. yoga

enough said.  i have totally fallen off the yoga band wagon and i can tell that my body needs it.  so i need to dust off my mat and make it to the studio!

3. make time for my soul and appreciate all my hard work

that sounds a little cheesy but i am making a goal to set down my phone and pick up my scriptures.  i need to connect with god again and take a little me time.  i also have recently been introduced to daily affirmations and i would like to do more of that.  i really believe in the power of positive thinking!  i will do my best to set aside at least 20 min for me time.

4. holiday craft it up!

i keep seeing the most darling craft ideas on pinterest and i just need to make it happen! glittered pumpkins! so cute!

5. drink more water.  make a goal to drink a natural detox often.

with the colder weather i often forget to drink enough water! i aslo would love to detox a little this fall with some great homemade detox recipes! i’ll be sure to post about them!

so there ya have it! i wanna hear what some of your goals for this month are!

do you make goals each month?

how do you reward yourself for making your goals happen?

xoxo

YOUR BLOG IS SO PRETTY! What template do you use? Love all the pictures.

My goal is TIME MANAGEMENT…and YOGA as well! I am so inflexible and really really really want to work on it! I think yoga can help 🙂
