the battle that is family pictures + J. Crew gift card giveaway

i’m blogging from utah (yes i’m a gypsy) and i am enjoying every second of rehearsals and family.  we attempted family pictures this last weekend and if anyone knows me you know that i hate pictures.  i have to color coordinate, find a cute outfit,  stand up straight, and smile.  no funny faces to mask the fact that i am not a fan of pictures. maybe i’m afraid to hang on my parents wall blow up to a 16×20 print and look terrible.  wouldn’t you??  not to mention i was by myself (carson is in cali and can’t get off work) so i figured i’d rock it single and to my surprise they were great. no tears and lots of candy bribes for good smiles,  we were in and out in an hour! that’s how the the thacker clan does it. bam.

i spent most of the hour giggling at the lengths we go to to get a good smile from the babies and they are just adorable. my sisters whipped out some gorgeous babies so i have high hopes for my future kids.  if they aren’t as cute, family pictures could be a little awkward…i’m hoping for the best but you never know 🙂  utah is filled with mixed emotions for me but i can always count on these people for a good time, laughs, and a swig sugar cookie. have you tried swig yet? if not do yourself a favor and get some!
