The Soul, The Drive, & The Room

Hey Friends!

Guess what…another late night post! I just made it to Utah after the long drive from Vegas. Let me catch you up on the day.  Church was especially great today! Carson and I learned so many things that I need to remember to be better at! Something interesting I learned was the importance of feeding the soul.  Focusing more on the soul and less on the world around us. Care for the soul and the rest will fall into place.  I’m always reminded of why I love the gospel so much every Sunday. Sundays are my day full of faith, love, and learning.  Anyway,  remember when I told you my little car had some problems? well the 6 hr drive wasn’t a huge help and now the alternator is out! ugh! That means more money out of our pockets! I definitely could find a better use for that cash…maybe some more lulu lemon get up, raw food ingredients, yoga class, date night, or most importantly…bills!! Were just going to have to suck it up and take care of it I guess:) that’s life:)

For the long drive I downloaded “The Room” on audible.com to make the time pass slowly and I’m hooked! At first I was caught off guard mainly because the book is written in a different perspective than I had anticipated, but I think that’s why I’m so hooked!  I feel a little bit better about myself when I listen to a book rather than brainwash my self with the latest rap.  Not a huge fan of rap but sometimes it’s all that’s on the radio:) I highly recommend this read, or in my case, listen for all of you out there:)

Keep your eyes peeled for a little tinybuddha post for tomorrow and hopefully while I’m here, I can convert my family to my way of eating….we’ll see about that one:) I even brought home a couple Vegan Coconut Bites for them to try! Did you get a chance to make those yet?! Go give em a try!

xoxo

Ok. May I first say that we have never met, but I am dear friends with your sister Bryton. I love, love, love her! So, when I saw that you had a blog I followed it instantly. You Thacker girls are lovely, that is for sure. I wanted to let you know that I think it is wonderful that you are so involved with food and fitness! Those are both things that are incredibly important and, though some people may criticize you for “obsessing”, I think it’s brilliant that you are so into it. I appreciate hearing about your struggles, successes, recipes, workouts and life in general. I have recently lost 22.5 lbs and have a bit more to go, reading your blog is inspiring for me. No matter what anyone says, there’s nothing wrong with loving good food, good exercise and anything that makes you feel happy. Thanks for being lovely. -Ash

      Ashley,
Its nice to meet you! well online meet I guess, but I think that still counts! I’m also a huge fan of bryton so we have that in common. She is a darling mom and I hope I look that good when Ive got a little nugget. Anyway, your post really means a lot. I was just feeling the other day that I didn’t have enough knowledge or credit to run a blog about food and fitness. But then bryton pointed out that that’s why its a blog, not a book. So i’m feeling a bit better now! Your kind words mean a lot and I’m very glad that someone out there can relate to food/fitness craziness like me. I’m learning a lot and most importantly learning to enjoy the ride, but I have a lot to learn still. Thanks again stopping by! means a lot:)

      xoxo
