The Green Goodness continues

Hello Friends!

So number one…How are you all doing on your green smoothie challenge? So here is the link to the Rawdivas.com where I have been referring for recipes and Inspiration! I have used some of my own variations/recipes as well so no pressure to stick to the exact recipes.

Number two…I don’t think I was putting enough in my smoothies on day one because at about 4 o’clock I was starving and another smoothie wasn’t doing the trick.  I wasn’t following the exact recipes from the rawdivas and I probably should’ve since I was so hungry! I’ll be honest, I did cheat with some almonds and other small snacks because I was feeling a little weak haha…so tomorrow I’ll try harder to put more of my ingredients since they are my whole meal in the smoothies and stick to the complete smoothie goodness:)

Here was last nights smoothie:

Blueberry Spirulina Smoothie:

1 1/2 C unsweetened Almond Milk
2 cups of Kale
1 tsp coconut oil
2 stalks of celery (chopped)
1-2 Cups of frozen blueberries
1/2 tsp spirulina
dash of stevia powder

Throw in the blender and enjoy:)

*My blender had a hard time blending the kale so the consistancy of this smoothie wasnt my favorite.  Taste it before pouring and add more stevia or bluberries if needed.

Like I mentioned earlier, I had a hard time sticking completely to smoothies so today I’m going to try to fill my smoothies with larger quantities of my greens to keep me full.  It’s all about figuring out those kinks so I’m not worried:)

Morning Mint Mango Madness

(recipe from Pinterest and muffintinmania.com)

1-2 Cups Coconut water
2 cups spinach
2 celery stalks (chopped)
1/4 cup fresh mint
1/2 orange
1/2-1 tablespoon agave
1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
2 cups frozen mango chunks

Place ingrediants in the order listed and blend it up!

*My favorite smoothie so far! I love this one! be sure to give this one a try!

* You could even pour this into muffin tins and freeze them like ice cubes and save them for later.

Now for some home yoga! Yesterday I gave a new podcast a try and I loved it.  It was 75 min of great power yoga.  I went to itunes and searched podcasts for  “Power Yoga with Nikki Wong”.  There were a bunch of episodes and I was excited to give it a try. Loved it. A+ in my book!

I’ve got to get started with the days task.  I’m still trying to get all my name changed stuff done so i’m off! I’ll check in later with more spinach slurping, chard chugging goodness!
