Switching Up Your Fitness Routine

Hey friends!

It’s Monday and that means I needed some added motivation to hit the gym today. I’ve always heard it is important to switch up your workout routine so your body doesn’t get settled and platue your progress. I noticed that I was getting pretty settled into my routine so I decided today was the day to add something new!

I started out with a new HIIT interval workout on the Elliptical

30 min HIIT Interval Elliptical Workout

*Incline at 16

Time Resistance RPM
0-5:00 (Warm up) 5 130-140
5:00-6:00 6 150-160
6:00-7:00 6 Sprint (push hard!)
7:00-8:00 7 150-160
8:00-9:00 7 Sprint
10:00-12:00 8 150 (Backward)
12:00-13:00 8 Sprint (push hard!)
13:00-14:00 8 150-160
14:00-15:00 9 160
15:00-16:00 9 Sprint (push hard!)
16:00-18:00 8 140-150 (Backward)
18:00-19:00 8 150-160
19:00-20:00 7 Sprint (push hard!)
20:00-22:00 7 160
22:00-23:00 7 Sprint (push hard!)
23:00-25:00 6 150 (Backward)
25:00-26:00 6 160
26:00-28:00 6 Sprint (push hard!)
28:00-30:00 6 160
30:00-35:00 5 Cool down

*Make sure you push hard on those sprints!!

I followed up my cardio with this new workout! You could even do this one at home!

Tone It Up Rush Workout

Squat to bicep curl (10-20 reps)

Rush! (10-20 reps)

Deadlifts (10-20 reps)

Rush! (10-20 reps)

Tummy Tuck To Glutes In Plank (10-20 reps)

Rush! (10-20 reps)

Tricep Skinny Dips (10-20 reps)

Rush! (10 -20 reps)

Repeat the entire circuit 2 more times!

Really felt this workout! It was a new shock to my body and I think I’ll be experimenting with these types of workouts more often!

    Lately I have been trying to get a mix of different workouts in, but sometimes it is nice to just do something you love.
