happy tuesday! hope you all had a great weekend as well as a great monday:) anyhow, currently at our house we discovered a tv show on netflix that has taken over our lives. all thanks to carson’s sister, we are hooked…
so good. the end. that’s it. we are hooked! since carson and i are old married farts, we are perfectly content with a night in and some dillon panther football:)
in other news, i have a recipe to share! those are rare on this blog so cherish it. i mentioned this before, but i received some spirulina from the folks at NUTREX HAWAII to review so i decided to try it in my post workout smoothie. best idea ever. i was a little nervous to try my smoothie because it turned out a green/greyish color (hence the title of this post) but one of the best ive made yet! don’t judge the color:)
SUMMER SPIRULINA SMOOTHIE
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)
- 1 small banana
- large handfull of spinach (about 1-2 cups)
- handful of frozen strawberries
- 1 1/2 scoop sunwarrior vanilla protein powder (or protein of your choice)
- 1 tsp powdered spirulina
pour liquid into blender first then add protein powder, spirulina, and spinach. then add banana and strawberries. blend and enjoy!
yum! off to work and hopefully and evening filled with friday night lights:)
