happy labor day! now let’s get right to it with the sugar strike!
so i was browsing blogs this weekend and i came across powercakes “strike the sugar” via Tosca Reno and i am going to take this challenge! i have been quite the slacker lately with processed sugar (thank you hot tamales) and need to get back on track!
be sure to check out Tosca’s blog post for more info about sugar and sugar substitutes and jump on board! lucky for us Tosca posted a nifty list of approved sugar’s to use and of course fruit is still allowed!

i am so excited! i am a fan of most of the “yes” items! it is going to be tough to avoid rice syrup and cane sugar but i need this good kick in the butt! hopefully labor day isn’t filled with too many sweets!
