spoonful of detox. reboot with some fresh beet, apple, and carrot juice

happy monday!

i am a little sad to see the weekend over but last week was a busy one so secretly i am so ready for a new week! i’ve got to find a good way to balance work, exercise, and personal life without spreading myself too thin.  by the time saturday rolls around, i am pooped and just need to sleep! sometimes i tend to fall of the band wagon of awesome clean eats when life gets busy, so this last night i was craving some pure goodies! i whipped out the juicer, dusted if off, and raided the fridge.  it’s probably a bad sign when your body is craving whole foods rather than the crappy stuff.  lets just say i wasn’t exactly #strikingsugar this week:) life happens:) i had beets, carrots, and apples in my fridge so i decided to juice them all! (see that cute new planner? it’s keeping me from going crazy! thank you target!)

weird combo but it turned out pretty great!

CARROT BEAT APPLE JUICE

Ingredients:

  • 1 purple beet
  • 3 large carrots
  • 2 apples
  • 1 packet of NuNaturals Stevia

make sure beet, apples, and carrots are washed and cut small enough to fit in the juicer! juice, add stevia, and enjoy!

there are so many juice recipes out there! and you can check out a few of my favorite combos here!  i used to be intimidated by the juicer but now i just throw in whatever we’ve got and my body loves it! i do have to be careful not to get too much fruit juice because all the natural sugar gives me a tummy ache, but i love to pure goodness that you get straight from juice!

you may not have a juicer, but hop on yelp and search for the nearest juice bar! they are all over and sometimes coffee shops even offer fresh juice:) it’s an AWESOME alternative to store bought juice and sodas! so do your bod a little favor and give it a taste of the real stuff:)

sip on that:)

xoxo

Perfect timing – my husband and I were just talking about what to do with all the beets and carrots still in the garden!

That actually sounds incredibly delicious and refreshing. I really like beet juice and don’t get to drink it often. I’ve been on a green smoothie kick and I was pretty conservative at first but now, like you, I pretty much will throw whatever is in the fridge into the blender! Thanks for sharing this!

As odd as it sounds, I actually like beet juice (when it’s mixed with veggies/fruits). So yummy and a great recovery from working out!

Interesting combo…I juice five days a week but really need to switch it up because I always do the same thing. Are beets really that good for you? Must be! Thanks for sharing!
