the unfashionable during NYFW

During NYFW I feel so drab…so unfashionable.  stalking fashion bloggers during this time of year is somewhat depressing. I can’t afford that $200 top you are wearing, gifted by the designer, so I’m living vicariously through you.  There is a small part of me that wished money grew on trees and I could have my very own fashion blog but then I remember it doesn’t and most of the time I’m in dance clothes.  yay me!

I have my moments when I think I’m on trend and some artsty instagram photo comes out of it but that’s as far as it gets for me. I wonder what it would be like to recieve expensive (and super cute) clothes in the mail, wear them, have great photos taken of you, post them, then get invited to NYFW.  Respect.  You fashion bloggers are doing it right becasue those are some sweet perks! I follow a ton of fashion blogs! I like to get outfit ideas and find new places to shop online so thank you bloggers for working hard and posting daily:) I appreciate it:) If only you could take me to New York as your handy assistant.  I will happily type your blog posts while you look fabulous and some of that rubs off on me.

Can I brag for one quick second?? My brother in law lives in NYC and is currently styling hair for some of the shows.  His life is pretty rad too and he is my only claim to a connection at NYFW.  Fashion is something I love but I’ve never been totally great at. I don’t know the names of many designers, but I do appreciate art and love looking at the pieces photographed. (watching project runway is about as close to the runway as I get).  So keep blogging fabulous ladies….I will continue to pretend we are on the same page when it comes to fashion:)
