Inspired! + a little Cardio and Food of course

Hey there friends! Hope everyone had a wonderful Tuesday! I know that I did:)

It was a busy one and started with a Butt Blaster Cardio workout on the elliptical! Felt good to be back at the gym after the long drive:) My legs were definitely feeling it and I was a sweaty mess! I soaked some buckwheat overnight and made a nummy little breakfast!

Overnight Buckwheat Breakfast

  • 1 cup of buckwheat groats soaked overnight
  • small spoonful of Almond Butter
  • Almond Milk
  • spoonful of ground flax
  • dash of Cinnamon
  • dash of stevia powder
  • blueberries and half of a banana

Once the buckwheat has been soaked, I added just a little Almond milk the thin it out.  I warmed it up for about 20 seconds in the microwave (not raw I know) but I like a little warm breakfast.  Add in the Almond butter, flax, cinnamon, stevia, fruit and enjoy! I’m still waiting for my new protein powder to come in the mail or I would’ve thrown that in!!

I had the wonderful opportunity of teaching again at the Center Stage Dance Intensive.   Today was a LONG day of teaching but one of the best I’ve had in a while.  Hence the reason I have been so MIA from the blog! Ive been so busy! anyway…  Its incredible to watch young dancers finding themselves as artists. I try my hardest to teach these kids that its not about the trophies or the recognition, but about finding joy in what they are so blessed to do.  Blessed to express themselves through movement and touch so many people. It gets hard as an artist or performer to not be overwhelmed and fall into a selfish attitude regarding success, and becoming wrapped up in awards and recognition.  Sometimes I feel selfish that I get to be a dancer.  I get to let go, move, inspire, and grow daily doing what I love.  It’s truly and honor to teach and share my knowledge. Sometimes I find myself missing my old studio days:)  I was lucky enough to see my choreography come to life today and  I’m more than Inspired/rejuvenated to continue.

Off to bed because I need sleep!

What Inspires you?

xoxo

yay for overnight buckwheat for breakfast. good stuff! 🙂 Congrats on the teaching session, sounds like fun! What inspires me is my twin sister and getting that feeling that I have helped someone else!
