Big News!

Hey there friends!

It’s Thursday which means tomorrow is Friday! This week is going by way to fast but I’m looking forward to Halloween! Carson and I are going to drive up to St George to see Odyssey Dance Theatre’s performance of Thriller.  I was apart of that production last year and actually got the Donny & Marie job while finishing up in St George.  I’m so excited to see everyone but I may be a little sad that I am not on stage with them!  Thriller is a fun dance show all built around Halloween! If you are ever in Utah during the month of October be sure to see it! There are performances in SLC, Logan, Provo, Park City, and at Tuachn in St. George! We are looking forward to it!

Closing night of last years performance with one of my biggest fans! Remember Bryton from her guest post?

Now for the big news! I posted about a new Ballet based workout back in August when I was in Utah and raved about it’s success.  It has taken Utah by storm and is looking to expand.  Bree Johnson, the owner and founder of BalletBlast, is a good friend of mine and I have decided to become certified to teach BalletBlast! Bree wants to expand the business to Vegas as well as LA! I am so excited to be apart of the BalletBlast family but I’m more excited to spread the good! This workout is so effective, fun, and burns a big amount of calories! It’s and effective way to get a dancers body without the years and years of training! Here’s what Bree said in an interview with Good Things Utah:

“I came up with a workout to bring back to all of my friends that incorporated the basics of ballet and a few other workouts and we created ballet blast. And I sneak in ballet and they don’t know–but if they’ve danced before and haven’t in a while, they love it and feel like they are dancing again,” says Johnson.

Dancing again, or even dancing for the very first time. Brand new ballerina Kelly Derrick says “It’s even for old ladies, I’m almost 50!.”  But the best part are the body changes she said she noticed almost immediately.

“I think that as a dancer you have the potential to have a wonderful body…you have the potential to target every part of the body, so I’ve taken those techniques and turned it into something that works for women,” said Johnson.

Ballet Blasting it out!

My certification starts Saturday and I’m looking at a few dance studios today to get it set in motion! I can’t wait to be an instructor and help change lives! Bree has helped so many women in Utah get in shape and I think it will be a big hit in Henderson! For all my Las Vegas readers, I will keep you posted on all the BalletBlast updates! Wish me luck!

xoxo
