Fit Fit Fitness and new recipes you must try!

Hey friends!

Happy hump day! I drove back to Vegas yesterday and feeling settled back into my normal routine.  Ballet Blast was killer today and I love that class is growing! Click here for more info about Ballet Blast.  My body has been so tight and sore from all the driving back and forth to Utah and Vegas so I decided I needed to find Yoga again.  It was on my February list and I decided to just go! Lucky for me a new studio opened up in Henderson called Body Heat Yoga and I was dying to give it a try.  I’m a big fan of Hot Yoga and my muscles are in love with the heat! There is something about sweating and feeling your body opening up that feels soooo good!

As class finished, I was red faced and dripping sweat I got thinking about how important it is to be mindful of your body.  I was surrounded by a decent sized class of fit ladies and I was inspired by the fact that we were all there, pushing our bodies to the limits, and making a positive change! That is the HARDEST part.  Getting your butt up and working out is often the hardest part but should be celebrated the most!

The first step is noticing you want a change and making a desire to make it happen! Make the change for you. Not due to pressure from family, friends, or the media.  If your desire is not healthy and your decision, it won’t be a positive experience.  Second, relax.  Listen to your body and take it step by step.  Experiment with different workouts and what makes you feel the best, not what you think you should be doing.  Third, enjoy what you do and don’t give up!

This may sound like a repeat post, but I’m so passionate about enjoying fitness.  I hated fitness when I HAD to do it or did it because I ate something sweet.  It’s amazing how many ways there are out there to get fit and healthy! HITT, Zumba, Ballet Blast, Running, Cycling, Yoga, Pilates, Walking, and so many other ways.  Don’t let guilt run your life.  Eat your dessert, enjoy it, and then remember that you are good to your body.  I struggle with this issue often but its getting better.  My head is getting stronger at battling guilt and negative pressure but its due to a conscious effort and a realization that life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

Thanks for listening to my fitness rant:) Now here are some new recipes that I’ve found this week that you must try!!
